Appearance and Behavior: This species boasts a large, robust body, growing up to 8-10 inches. Males display a vivid blue body and white coloration on the upper lip, while females have a more subdued coloration. Known for their social nature, they thrive in groups and exhibit peaceful behavior, making them compatible with other non-aggressive fish.

Aquarium Care: A setup that mirrors their natural rocky habitat with ample hiding spots is ideal. They prefer alkaline water conditions with a pH of 7.8-8.6 and temperatures between 76-82°F. Regular water changes and a balanced diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods are essential for their well-being.
