Red Shoulder Peacock Cichlid

Description

This popular peacock has been found in four locations throughout the lake, Masinje, Fort Maguire, Mara Point, and Thumbi West Island. Red Shoulder peacock cichlids prefer the intermediate areas of these rocks where the rocky shores lead to sandy bottoms.

Their diet should consist of a high quality flake food like Plankton Gold, with the occasional treat of a spirulina based treat.

Red Shoulder Chiloelo are more of a passive species, so they will do best with other passive species. We suggest mixing them in with Red Blaze Lithobates or Sulfur Head.
