The Nimbochromis livingstonii is a species of Haplochromis native to the shallow muddy areas of Lake Malawi. The males of these cichlids will develop pale blue bodies and dorsal fins that are colored bright orange and yellow. Males can grow to be up to 10" in length while females are slightly smaller.
Nimbochromis livingstonii cichlids are large predatory fish which need a large tank with plenty of swimming space. It is a good idea to only mix them with other large fish like Blue Dolphin, Super Red Empress, or Taiwan Reef cichlids.
